Custom Collector

Special wet dust collector designed for General Electric Turbines. This is a two-sided table. One side has an enclosed variable height downdraft table with regain air. The other side has a special rotating fixture to draw the dust thru the engine housing away from the operator.

Magnesium Downdraft Table

Wet collector downdraft table with 2 work stations, 2 crane slots; 12’ wide x 4’ deep with removable center divider. Used to collect magnesium in the aerospace industry. Unit has 15 HP motor producing 9000 CFM with regain air. Regain air brings 20% of the cleaned exhaust air to front of the table and blows it to the back of the table creating a push/pull system with velocities up to 800 FPM in the working zone.

Wet Collector, 5000 CFM, 10 HP motor and sludge conveyor replaced cartridge dust collector. The cartridge dust collector was collecting metal grinding dust which generated a lot of sparks and kept catching on fire.

Defense contractor uses wet containment booth to collect aluminum grinding dust. Booth is 16' width x 9' depth x 7.5' height with front access for manual clean out. Dust booth provides 16,600 cfm and has regain air.

Titanium Dust Containment Booth

Used to collect and contain titanium dust in the aerospace industry, dimensions are 28’ wide x 12.5’ high x 20’ deep. Booth's (5) modular 15 HP wet collectors generate 32,500 CFM. Front clean out allows back of the booth to be against a wall. About 20% of the cleaned exhaust air is brought to the front of the booth and then blown to the back, creating a push pull pattern. Extra dust tight florescent lighting added.

Hydrochloric and Sulfuric Acid

Vertical Packed Column Wet Scrubber collecting hydrochloric and sulfuric acid fumes from dipping process. This PVC fume scrubber with PVC fan provides 99% efficiency. Ductwork and backdraft hoods are all PVC to resist corrosion. This wet fume collector provides 4400 CFM with 7.5 HP motor and equipped with PH control, caustic tank and chart recorder.

Hydrochloric and Sulfuric Acid with Push Air Header

Vertical Packed Column Wet Scrubber collecting hydrochloric and sulfuric acid fumes from a dipping process. A Push Air Header was installed on the front of the acid tanks to push the fumes into the backdraft hoods. By using the Push Air Header the customer was able to reduce the size of the scrubber by ½. The Push Air Header blower/motor is a 1.5HP high pressure blower with adjustable damper valves. There are a total of (5) 4’ deep x 2’ wide and (1) 2’ x 2’ tanks. The PVC fume scrubber has a 7.5 HP motor and provides a nominal 5000 CFM with 99% effiencey. The fan, ductwork and backdraft hoods are all PVC to resist corrosion. The fume scrubber is exhausted through the roof.

Aluminum Foundry

Wet Dust Collector 30HP, 11,500 CFM at 12” TSP used to collect aluminum dust generated by belts sanders in an aluminum foundry. The wet collector is installed inside the building and is ducted to 9 belt sanders and is fully compliant with NFPA codes. The starter for the motor/blower is interlock with the water level control system and each belt sander. Customer was previously using a Torit cartridge dust collector which was installed inside the building and was cited by OSHA. Instead of moving the dust collector outside and installing deflagration devices they replaced the cartridge dust collector with a wet collector.

Food Processing

Dust generated from food blending operation is collected by stainless steel wet dust collector providing 6000 CFM @ 14“ using a 25 HP motor. System has (2) custom hopper discharge collection hoods, (2) 8” diameter x 14’ long and (2) 4” diameter x 8’long stainless steel self supported articulating capture arms. The duct work is stainless steel clamp together design with clean out ports. The wet dust collector, source capture arms, hoods and duct work are cleaned daily without disassembly using hot water. The waste water is discharged into a floor drain from the discharge valve located on the bottom of the wet collector’s hopper.

Titanium Dust Downdraft Table

Dual downdraft table dust collector used to collect titanium dust generated in the manufacturing of spinal implants. Each tables working surface is 48” wide x 30” deep. The wet collector provides 3000 CFM with a 5 HP direct drive motor and electronic water level control. Each downdraft table has a non mar fiberglass grate working surface, clear plastic enclosure with dust tight florescent lights and regain air. Regain air brings 20% of the cleaned exhaust air to the front of the table and blows it to the back of the table creating a push/pull system with velocities up to 800 FPM in the working zone.
